DONALD WRONG AGAIN
"The Green Party co-leader Rod Donald has fabricated the truth and got it wrong again", Defence Minister Max Bradford said today.
Mr Bradford was commenting about statements from Mr Donald concerning the issue of 60 Defence Force staff attending a Masters of Business seminar in Auckland on 1May 22nd.
"On Morning Report this morning Mr Donald asserted that I knew of the spending issue two weeks ago, on July 28. This is an absolute fabrication," Mr Bradford said.
"While the seminar attendance by Government departments, including WINZ and Defence was referred to in the media, the extent of attendance and total costs were not provided to me until this week.
"I have invited Mr Donald to provide me and the media with evidence of his clairvoyance or to issue a retraction and apologise for his deliberate misrepresentation of the facts," Mr Bradford said.
