LABOUR SHOULD LISTEN TO NEW ZEALANDERS OVER SUPERANNUATION
Labour, the Alliance and NZ First are playing petty political games over superannuation, says North Shore MP, Dr Wayne
Mapp.
"Their refusal to enter into dialogue with the politically independent Super 2000 Taskforce, shows their superficial
attitude to this important issue," he says.
"National knows that New Zealanders want security in their retirement. We know that any scheme must be affordable and
must be sustainable."
"It is far too important an issue to be treated as a political football. That is why National appointed Angela Foukes to
lead the Taskforce."
"We are prepared to look past political affiliation, to the big picture. This is what New Zealanders want," says Dr
Mapp.
Dr Mapp urged Labour to abandon its recalcitrant attitude and to come to the table for the good of all New Zealanders.
