Films, Videos, and Publications Classification (Interim Restriction Order Classification) Amendment Bill
Public submissions are now open on the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification (Interim Restriction Order Classification) Amendment Bill, which is being considered by Parliament’s Justice and Electoral Committee.
The bill would amend the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993 to give the President of the Film and Literature Board of Review and the High Court flexibility to classify interim restriction orders so they apply to a particular age or class of persons, or for a specified purpose.
