New Zealand Intelligence and Security Bill
Public submissions are now being invited on the New Zealand Intelligence and Security Bill. The closing date for submissions is Friday 7 October 2016.
This bill implements the Government response to the Report of the First Independent Review of Intelligence and Security in New Zealand: Intelligence and Security in a Free Society, and replaces the four Acts that currently apply to the GCSB, the NZSIS, and their oversight bodies.

Submissions should be forwarded by the due date, either online using our website (www.parliament.nz) or in writing to the address below. If a submitter wishes to appear before the committee, they need to state this clearly and provide a name, daytime phone number and email address. Submissions generally become public and are published on our website.
