Trade (Anti-dumping and Countervailing Duties) Amendment Bill – call for submissions
The Commerce
Committee is currently considering the Trade (Anti-dumping
and
Countervailing Duties) Amendment Bill. The bill
proposes a public interest test into New Zealand's
anti-dumping and countervailing duties regime. The bill also
proposes a provision allowing for an anti-dumping and a
countervailing duty to be deferred if users of the goods
have been significantly impacted by a natural disaster or
other emergency. A number of other minor and technical
changes are proposed as well.
The closing date for submissions is Thursday, 11 August 2016.
The bill can be viewed online at www.legislation.govt.nz.
Submissions should be forwarded by the closing date, either making a submission online using our website www.parliament.nz (or a direct link at http://bit.ly/1MGlahJ), or in writing to the address below.
