Aussie PM Warned: Beware the Touch of John Key
Malcolm Turnbull may steal defeat from the jaws of victory, says New Zealand First Leader and Member of Parliament for Northland Rt Hon Winston Peters.
“The Australian Prime Minister has to be worried, the polls look positive but just two days out John Key has endorsed him. Given Mr Key’s record of endorsement – the National Party Northland by-election candidate, the flag change, the TPPA, the UK Remain campaign, and his version of the Panama Papers – Mr Turnbull must be seriously worried.
“Of late Mr Key has exhibited the midas touch in reverse – everything he supports ends up losing.
“It would be wise for Mr Key, in the interests of Australasian relations, to stay right out of the Australian Election campaign,” says Mr Peters.
