National Tells Many Kiwis To ‘Get Stuffed’

The National government has told a majority of New Zealanders to “Get Stuffed” in their eighth year in office, New Zealand First leader and MP for Northland Rt Hon Winston Peters said today.

“Today’s Budget sent that message to every Kiwi wanting an affordable education for their children, to those desperately needing surgery, to those looking for a job, to those who have had their home burgled, to struggling regions and to those wanting to buy a home.

“Finance Minister Bill English dished out packages with grandiose titles designed to create the illusion some serious thinking had gone into them.

“None of the packages will do much for growth; they fall woefully short of the demand.

“This government continues to rely on consumption boosted by record population growth through massive immigration flows.

“We need new hospitals, schools, houses and public transport systems just to cope with net immigration of 68,000.

“Nothing in this Budget will solve the shambles National has created.

“An entire generation of young Kiwis is locked out of the housing market in their own country because of soaring house prices.”

“But National is not listening. To National these people are invisible,” Mr Peters said.
