Labour mourns Peter Conway
It is with immense sadness that the Labour Party marks the passing of former Council of Trade Unions secretary Peter Conway, says Labour Leader Andrew Little.
“Pete was a stalwart of the labour movement whose dedication to the rights and wellbeing of all New Zealand workers was enduring and determined.
“I am among the many who have worked alongside him to make progressive change, and who counted him as a personal friend.
“I will miss him greatly, as will all of those who knew him well, and who share his belief in a better and fairer society.
“The Labour Party, my caucus, and I pass our deepest condolences onto Pete’s partner Liz and their children. He was a good man and he will be held in the hearts of the labour movement,” Andrew Little says.
