Good Broadband progress in Palmerston North

27 May 2015

Local List MP welcomes Chorus’ Ultra-Fast Broadband update which shows good progress in Palmerston North

National MP Jono Naylor welcomes the news that Palmerston North is making good progress on the Ultra-Fast Broadband uptake.

The latest figures released by Chorus shows that Palmerston North is increasing their uptake of Ultra-Fast Broadband adding another 15.1% in the March figures. This makes Palmerston North second equal in terms of uptake in New Zealand.

“Ultra-Fast Broadband has the ability to change the way our households and businesses interact with each other and the world,” Jono Naylor said.

“Local businesses are well aware of the benefit UFB can bring which is why many Palmerston North businesses are choosing to get connected.

“I am reminded from local businesses regularly about the benefit of being connected to UFB and how it has transformed the ways they operate.

“With our large Research and Development sector here in the city it is important to stay connected to the world. UFB provides this opportunity.

“I am glad to see so many local households also getting connected to UFB. With New Zealanders demanding more internet usage for such activities as online streaming and gaming it is important that our infrastructure has the ability to meet this demand” said Naylor.
