Privileges Complaint Laid against Prime Minister
MANA Leader and Member of Parliament for Te Tai Tokerau Hone Harawira
Monday 15 September
MANA Movement Leader and Te Tai Tokerau MP Hone Harawira has today lodged a Privileges Complaint with the Speaker regarding the Prime Ministers denials in parliament that he knew anything about Kim Dotcom before 2012.
“Information made public today appears to contradict John Key’s statements and I have therefore asked the Speaker to refer it to the Privileges Committee for investigation.”
“This is a very serious matter and needs to be properly and formally looked at, especially as it involves the Prime Minister.”
Mr Harawira said he was also looking forward to hearing more from Glen Greenwald about the GCSB spying on New Zealanders.
“Unfortunately I can’t be there tonight in person as I am appearing ton the Te Tai Tokerau Native Affairs debate tonight on Maori Television, but I applaud Mr Greenwald’s determination to let new Zealanders know what their government is up to.”
