NEW ZEALAND INDEPENDENT COALITION MEDIA RELEASE
Where’s the plan for New Zealand?
“Voters are telling me that the NZ Independent Coalition is the only party that has come out with a clear, concise and coherent plan for New Zealand,” said Brendan Horan
“In the last week of the campaign the old political parties have shown no vision for the electorate. They have shown no ideas to break into the 21st century and so-called party leaders who have courted the media display only a lack manners and vision.
“The NZ Independent Coalition is committed to three bold policies.
“First, a Ministry of Job Creation. As a country we need to identify the jobs that will be valued in 2020. Then the priority must be is upskilling future workforces and existing workforces for the fresh opportunities skillsets and competencies in the new world of the industrial internet.
“Second we need to boost retirement incomes for seniors so they can fully enjoy life as citizens of our nation. This will include scrapping the seizure of overseas pensions where those have been earned by peoples’ own contributions.
“Third, we are advocating for a zero-fees model for tertiary education across New Zealand. The Southland Institute of technology has shown it can be done and we need to offer to all students.
“New Zealand therefore has the unique opportunity to be ahead of the ball and upskill our workforces ahead of time. Higher skills seed greater productivity, and greater productivity allows more money to be paid out in wages.
“A party vote for NZ Independent Coalition is a vote for a plan for New Zealand. It is for an environment with safe children, safe families, and a safe society,” said Brendan Horan.
