Constable was a true role model
Labour’s Pacific Island Affairs spokesperson Su’a William Sio has extended sympathy to the family of Constable Kali Fungavaka, saying his death is deeply distressing.
“Kali, a recipient of the New Zealand Bravery Medal in 2006, was an excellent role model for our young people whom he always had time for.
He was well known in South Auckland and hugely respected by his peers and the community in Māngere where he served most recently.
“On behalf of my Labour colleagues I want to offer our sincere condolences to his bereaved family and to his extended police family. He will be sadly missed by all of us in Māngere,” said Su’a William Sio
