We’re Marching Again: Aotearoa is
not for Sale
“I urge all Foreshore and Seabed marchers to join us again on a hikoi” says MANA Leader Hone Harawira.
“If the word on the street and the messages from iwi are anything to go by, then this hikoi could be as large as 2004”.
“Tomorrow the ‘Aotearoa is not for Sale’ hikoi departs Te Reinga Wairua and will arrive at Parliament eleven days later. This protest is just as significant as the Foreshore and Seabed hikoi in 2004 and we want to send a clear message to this government – our country is not for sale”.
“If you are pissed off at the Chinese buying our land under the Crafar Farm sale, then join us. If you don’t want to see our electricity companies being sold to foreign companies and then the price of power go up, then join us. If you don’t want mega rich oil and gas companies fracking our land, causing earthquakes and dirtying our water supply, then join us”.
“We need to send the strongest message possible to this government and to overseas companies who are eyeing up our land and assets – Aotearoa is not for Sale”.
