Chris Carter Officially Quits Parliament
When Parliament resumed at 2pm, Speaker Lockwood Smith advised MPs that he had received a letter from Chris Carter
resigning from Parliament as of September 30.
A petition was presented on behalf of the Nurses Union and the Service and Food Workers Union asking the House note that
10,607 people have asked the Government to properly fund aged care and urged Parliament to support this.

Interim report on inquiry into boarding houses in New Zealand by the Social Services Committee
Briefing on the Walking Access Commission's public access mapping system by the Primary Production Committee
as reported by the Health Committee
Reports were presented on the:
Visit of the Parliamentary Delegation to Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay; and the;
Auditor General’s reports on Treasury’s management of the retail deposits guarantee scheme and Transpower’s management
of risks to transmission assets.
