When Parliament resumed at 2pm the petition of Lois Griffiths and 382 others was presented requesting that the New Zealand Parliament ask the Guardians of the NZ Superfund to disinvest the Fund from Elbit Systems, Caterpillar, G4S and three major Israeli banks: Bank Hapoalim, Bank Leumi and Israel Discount Bank.
As was the petition of Murray Storey and 2335 others calling on New Zealand’s representative to the United Nations to abstain from voting on the formation of an independent Palestine State and the House of Representatives urge the Government to follow this wish.
The annual report of the Lotteries Commission was presented.
