Labour saddened by loss of soldier
Labour has been saddened by the news of the death of a serving member of the SAS in Afghanistan, says Labour Leader Phil Goff.
“Our condolences go out to the family of the solider,” Phil Goff said.
“I know from my personal dealings with the SAS and New Zealand’s military services that this loss will be felt by all our defence force personnel who put their own lives at risk to serve this country.
“The SAS are some of the most respected soldiers in the world for their skill, bravery and dedication.
“I have the utmost respect for these soldiers,” Phil Goff said.
