Dunne delighted PM to speak at UnitedFuture conference
UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne today said he was delighted that Prime Minister John Key has agreed to speak at the UnitedFuture annual conference in Wellington later this month.
“I think this decision simply reflects UnitedFuture’s three very positive and constructive years as a support partner in the National-led Government,” Mr Dunne said.
“New Zealanders want to see parties with various policies actually working together for a better New Zealand, and UnitedFuture has been able to do that with National in a high trust environment.
“From our point of view, all our dealings with the Prime Minister have been constructive and straight-up, where we have agreed and where we have disagreed.
“We have shown that we can work constructively with National,” Mr Dunne said.
“And with Labour in total disarray, and policies such as a capital gains tax, they are not a viable alternative government, and not a party that we could sit with philosophically at this time," he said.
The conference will be on Sunday 21 August at the Capital Gateway Motor Inn in Newlands.
