When Parliament resumed at 2pm the Duties of Statutory Officers (Census and Other Remedial Provisions) Bill was introduced.
Select Committee reports were presented on the:
Arms (Military Style Semi-automatic Firearms and Import Controls) Amendment Bill (285-2) by the Law and Order Committee;
Report from the Controller and Auditor-General Draft statement of intent for 2011-14 and Draft annual plan of the Office of the Controller and Auditor-General 2009/10 by the Finance and Expenditure Committee
Petition 2008/107 of Eric Roy by the Health Committee
Petition 2008/92 of Alison Timms by the Commerce Committee
Petitions were also presented asking Parliament to support their request that two KiwiBank branches not be closed and also one petition demanding the Government prevent the closure of KiwiRail’s Hillside and Woburn workshops.
