Earthquake Recovery Bill And Urgency
The Environmental Protection Authority Bill completed its second reading on a voice vote.
Acting Leader of the House Simon Power moved that the House go into Urgency to pass legislation setting up the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Bill and other legislation.
The Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Gerry Brownlee sought leave for the earthquake recovery bill to be considered by a select committee over the next two days and to report back on Thursday morning.
MPs began the first reading debate on the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Bill.
