Greens share Rugby World Cup disappointment

The Green Party shares the disappointment of Cantabrians that Rugby World Cup matches will not proceed in Christchurch.

“We would have loved to see Christchurch host the Rugby World Cup, knowing that it would boost spirits and the local economy,” said Green Party spokesperson for the Christchurch earthquake Kennedy Graham.

“It is a shame it won’t be possible.

“Although there won’t be rugby in Christchurch this season, I’m sure the Crusaders will give us something to celebrate.

“We’ll be proud when they win the Super 15 and when our Cantabrian All Blacks lead us to victory in the World Cup,” said Dr Graham with local pride.
