MPs to participate in Parliamentary Procedure Seminar in Westminster
7 March 2011
Clare Curran MP, Labour, and Dr Cam Calder MP, National, are attending the 60th Westminster Seminar on Parliamentary Practice and Procedure being held in London from 7 to 12 March 2011, Parliament Speaker, Dr The Rt Hon Lockwood Smith, has announced.
The Westminster Seminar, held annually, is organised by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) UK Branch and brings together parliamentarians from across the Commonwealth community.
“In addition to parliamentarians gaining a deeper understanding of different components of parliamentary practice, the workshop sessions included in the programme provide an important opportunity for our newer MPs to exchange ideas with Commonwealth colleagues”, Dr Smith said.
