Chauvel Pays Tribute to
Glensor
News that Peter Glensor has been removed
as chair of the Hutt Valley District Health Board (HVDHB) is
a loss for the Hutt Valley, says Labour List MP based in the
Ohariu electorate Charles Chauvel.
"Peter has given long and loyal service to Hutt
health services. As a resident of the Western Hills, he has
been a champion for the innovative and effective delivery of
health services here" said Chauvel.
Glensor, who is also a member of the Wellington
Regional council, has been demoted to Deputy Chair of the
Hutt Valley Board, after previously serving as the Board
Chair.
"Peter has done an excellent job as the
Chair of Hutt Valley DHB, and his re-election to the Board
just over a month ago confirms that the people in the Hutt
Valley agree."
Virginia Hope, an elected
member of the Capital and Coast District Health Board, has
been appointed chair of both that board and the
HVDHB.
"It is disappointing that Peter's
replacement by someone elected outside of the Hutt Valley by
this Government makes him the first victim in what appears
to be a stealth plan to amalgamate the boards without public
consultation. "
