The Parliamentary Service will put in place contingency arrangements to ensure the parliamentary precincts remain safe and secure during planned industrial action by staff who are members of the PSA, its General Manager Geoff Thorn, said today.
Within the Parliamentary Service core staff of 300 there are 117 who are PSA members.
“Security managers will cover the security night shift for a planned hour-long stop-work meeting starting at 11pm tomorrow while arrangements are being put in place to minimise disruption during a one-hour stoppage at 3pm on Monday 5 October.
“We are hopeful the PSA will return to the table and the agreement will be concluded in the near future,” he said
