Auckland Maori seats still under action
The Minister of Maori Affairs says the Cabinet decisions announced today do not change the outlook for Maori seats.
“There is a process in place and currently being actioned,” said Dr Sharples. “High level discussions with mana whenua leadership are being organised at present.”
“I am still strongly committed to the kaupapa of mana whenua seats at the top table and I remain hopeful of a positive outcome,” he said.
