Kevin Hague at Wellington’s ‘Out in the Square’

Kevin Hague at Wellington’s ‘Out in the Square’

Green Party MP and long-time campaigner on gay and lesbian rights, Kevin Hague, will be staffing a Green Party stall at Wellington’s ‘Out in the Square fair’ this Saturday 28 February and said he was really looking forward to the event:

"The Greens are the only political party in which every MP has always voted in favour of human rights for lesbian, bisexual, gay, transsexual and intersex New Zealanders. The Green Party's fundamental values lead us to promote an inclusive society in which each minority group feels at home, without having to compromise who they are. Rather than all these rainbow communities needing to 'fit in', we would actually say that society needs to change to reflect the genuine diversity of its members.

"It's a great message for Out in the Square to be taking place in the heart of the city".
