National’s cover up claims ridiculous
National’s claims that Labour covered up ACC cost increases are ridiculous, Labour’s ACC spokesperson David Parker said today.
“National’s accusations are shown to be wrong in the document John Key released today (see paragraphs 14-18 on page 3).

“This shows very clearly that the then ACC Minister acted appropriately and in accordance with the constitutional procedures described.
“To now complain that the annual adjustment was not done during the election period, when the advice from the Department was that would be improper to do so will only be seen as the vain attempt at a diversion it plainly is.
“National wants to privatise ACC. This is the first of many diversions by National to try and justify its plans to undermine our world class ACC system to the detriment of New Zealanders,” David Parker said.
