Policeman's death a sombre reminder
The death of a policeman on duty in Wellington was a sombre reminder of the nature of the difficult but necessary work the police did in our society, Progressive leader Jim Anderton said today.
He said he sent his deepest sympathies to Sergeant Derek Wootton's family and friends.
"This is a terrible tragedy."
