Agent Orange: Nats want to be consulted
National’s Veterans Affairs spokeswoman, Judith Collins, has written to the Minister asking that the National Party be consulted as the Government looks to act on the recommendations of the Agent Orange Joint Working Group.
“All parties in Parliament have an obligation to look after these veterans and their families, especially when it is the Year of the Veteran.
“It is unlikely that the health select committee report into the effects of Agent Orange would ever have come about if not for National’s negotiations with other political parties.
“We are keen to see the job through and ensure the best outcome for these veterans and their families.
"With these reports now complete it’s time for some decisive action," says Ms Collins.
