Jillian Mallon has been appointed a Judge of the High Court.

Jillian Maree Mallon has been appointed a Judge of the High Court, Attorney-General Michael Cullen announced today.
Justice Mallon graduated LLB Hons from Otago University in 1988 and LLM from Cornell in 1993. She joined the firm of Bell Gully in Wellington in 1988 becoming a partner in 1998. Her principal areas of practice were commercial litigation, competition, media and public law.
Justice Mallon has also taught competition law at Victoria University for a number of years where she is an Honorary Fellow. She is the author of a number of legal articles.
