NZQA gets 'achieved' for exam season
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is to be congratulated for its work on this year's exam season as New Zealand Post confirmed 95 percent of students had today received their NCEA results, Education Minister Steve Maharey said today.
"NZQA has worked extremely hard to get it right for the students," Steve Maharey said. "They have done a huge amount of checking and double-checking and have kept the public informed every step of the way.
"The education sector now appears to be united in endorsing the hard work that NZQA has done."
Mr Maharey said he was giving a 'not achieved' to National's Education spokesperson Bill English.
"Bill English has been the lone critic throughout the exam process. It's unfortunate that he has tried to undermine people's confidence every step of the way."
