Christmas – a time for rest, reflection and rejuvenation
With Christmas holidays fast approaching it is hard to believe that another year has flown by already. As our lives get busier and busier it is important to stop at this time of year and reflect on what has been, what is to come, and the values that we hold important in our lives.
This has certainly been an eventful year. It was a great privilege to be returned as the member for North Shore, and I must thank you all for your support during the campaign. I do not take this job for granted and I will continue to work hard to represent the people of North Shore.
My appointment as the Spokesman for the Eradication of Political Correctness is a challenge I will be tackling head-on in the New Year. As well as making a number of speeches on the issue of political correctness, I am also working on a comprehensive paper. I hope to launch this early next year. Thank you to those who have contributed with comments and examples. Your feedback provides a valuable insight into the real issues.
Denese and I, and the office team in Wellington and Takapuna – Adrienne, Caryle, and Sarah, wish you and your families a safe and festive Christmas and a happy New Year. Both offices will be closed from 23 December and will be reopening on Monday 16 January. We look forward to serving you all again in the New Year, and as always I welcome your comments and suggestions on the issues affecting our community and our country.
