Bradford to head Buy Kiwi-Made program
Green Party MP Sue Bradford is to take the lead in New Zealand's Buy Kiwi-Made program.
Following the death of Green Party Co-Leader Rod Donald, who secured the campaign during post-election negotiations, the Green caucus nominated Ms Bradford to take over his position as Government Spokesperson for Buy Kiwi-Made.
In accordance with the cooperation agreement, the Government has accepted Ms Bradford's nomination.
In her first meeting with Economic Development Minister Trevor Mallard over the campaign, Ms Bradford discussed how relations will function at a preliminary level and what work will be done.
"While I am sad to be taking this campaign on in such circumstances, I am also honoured and intend to pick up the challenge on behalf of Green Party and Government, and the NZ businesses and workers who will benefit from Buy Kiwi-Made," Ms Bradford says.
