Cup presents huge opportunity to showcase NZ
National Party Leader Don Brash says securing the 2011 Rugby World Cup presents a great opportunity for New Zealand.
“Winning the right to host the cup provides us with the opportunity to showcase New Zealand to the world like never before, and the benefits to the economy will be huge.
“On behalf of the National Party, I would like to extend our congratulations to Jock Hobbs and his team for the work they have done to secure the bid, and to thank them on behalf of all New Zealanders.
“The National Party will work with the current Government to ensure the preparation for the cup goes smoothly and that the benefits of this tremendous opportunity are maximized,” says Dr Brash.
