Memorial gathering for Rod Donald in Wellington
A public memorial gathering for Green Party Co-Leader Rod Donald will be held at Parliament on Monday week, 21 November.
"Rod's funeral will be held in Christchurch on Thursday, but we know that many people will be unable to attend," Co-Leader Jeanette Fitzsimons says.
"A stream of condolence messages has been pouring into Green Party offices around the country and to the office at Parliament. It is obvious that Rod was a man who inspired and touched many hearts.
"The memorial will provide an opportunity for those unable to make it to his Christchurch funeral to pay their respects and celebrate his life," Ms Fitzsimons says.
The gathering will be held in both the Grand Hall and the Legislative Chamber between midday and 2pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Entrance is via the main steps.
