Parekura Horomia has called for the Maori Party to come clean on its real agenda after listening to comments from the Maori Party President this morning on National Radio.
"Whata indicated that if National is not successful in getting majority then they will be waiting for the National Party to have talks with them. He indicated that the Maori Party already has plans and arrangements in place to go back to its supporters on this next week"
"I have been concerned about this for some time. I have been worried that the Maori Party were whipping up our people's expectations that they would be in a position to defend them against the worst excesses of a party focused on dividing New Zealanders."
"As it turns out they are putting in place arrangements to do a deal with them, should National need one."
"It's been said a vote for the Maori Party is a vote for National and this confirms it. Now I call on the Maori Party to make that clear to its people – before its too late".
