Alexander: NZ First serves up a mish-mash
The New Zealand public deserves better from Winston Peters than the "excuse for a law and order policy" presented today, United Future law and order spokesman Marc Alexander said.
"There's not an itch Winston won't scratch; not a promise he won't make - and it's all hot air!" Mr Alexander said.
He said the NZ First policy launched in Masterton was a "mish-mash of ill-thought-out knee-jerk reactions to every crime headline of the last three years.
"Basically the public deserves considerably better than that from their politicians - and I only need to point in the direction of United Future's 146-point strategy that deals with the real issues of law and order in a real way.
"And that is because it is a strategy and not a how-can-we-get-elected wish list," Mr Alexander said.
