Public support for tax cuts spooks Labour

ACT leader Rodney Hide said today that Labour has been spooked by the public's overwhelming support for tax cuts.
"That's why Helen Clark has announced a hurried extension of the misnamed Working for Families package.
"But working people don't want handouts - they want tax cuts. The answer is not more working people receiving benefits but working people simply keeping more of the money that they earn.
"Tax cuts beat handouts every time," Mr Hide said.
