ACT Leader Rodney Hide said today that voters won't be fooled by Labour's Clayton's time limits for Treaty settlements.
"Labour's time limits are elastic - not hard and fast.
"And they only apply to historical claims. That leaves the grievance industry door wide open to new and fanciful claims as Labour declares the Treaty a living and breathing document capable of continuous interpretation and re-interpretation.
"What New Zealanders want is an end to the Treaty grievance industry. Full Stop. Labour isn't going to give it to them. ACT will.
