Cullen bureaucracy claim nonsense
National Party Finance spokesman John Key says Michael Cullen’s claim that National’s tax deduction for childcare will create more bureaucracy is “utter nonsense”.
“There will be no extra bureaucracy. The childcare deduction will be based on the existing housekeeper rebate rate. Families have to apply for that.
“Labour’s answer is to build an even bigger bureaucracy in the form of monopolistic state-run childcare centres, that deny parents choice,” says Mr Key.
