Wally Stone reappointed as Chairman of New Zealand Tourism Board
Tourism Minister Mark Burton has announced the reappointment of Wally Stone as Chairman of the New Zealand Tourism Board.
Mr Stone has served on the board since 1999 and made Chairman in May 2002.
"Wally has made an enormous contribution to the board over the past five years. I am delighted that he has agreed to hold the position of Chairman for another three years. The Executive Chairman and a founding director of Whale Watch Kaikoura, he has extensive knowledge of the tourism industry," Mark Burton said.
Mr Stone was a member of the tourism sector steering group that developed the New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2010 and has served as a judge for British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Awards Asia-Pacific region from 1995-1999 and the New Zealand Tourism Awards from 1998-2001.
