Only ACT can ensure welfare reform

Unfortunate developments within the National Party ranks over social welfare make ACT necessary if a future government is to reform welfare, ACT Deputy Leader and Social welfare spokesman Dr Muriel Newman said today.
"Welfare reform is an important issue for the public but it is now clear that the National Party can't achieve it on its own. Only ACT in government will ensure welfare reform is a priority.
"ACT is the only party in Parliament united and committed on welfare reform," said Dr Newman.
