Brash not fit to lead<
Don Brash's demotion of Katherine Rich confirms that he doesn't have the political skills to lead New Zealand, Green Co-Leader Rod Donald says.
"How can Dr Brash expect the country to follow him when he can't even convince his own caucus that his policies will work?" Mr Donald said.
The Rich affair is the latest example of Brash's inept leadership, Mr Donald said.
"Sacking Nick Smith as his deputy after just one week exposed his ineptitude. Getting rid of Georgina te Heu Heu because she didn't agree with his race-baiting exposed his intolerance. And sacking Katherine Rich for refusing to endorse his absurd welfare agenda exposes the nastiness of his policies.
"In his short time as National Leader, Don Brash has shown himself to be a man who panics in a crisis, who is extremely intolerant of anyone who disagrees with him, and who knows nothing about uniting a political party let alone a nation of four million diverse, vibrant people."
