Anderton calls for enterprise culture
Progressive leader Jim Anderton is calling on businesses to lead the campaign for an enterprise culture in New Zealand.
Jim Anderton called for a cut in company tax rates last Friday and he’s followed it up with policies to reduce student debt with more social policy announcements to come.
The Progressive Party is positioning itself as a pro-business party with a social conscience, and Jim Anderton says an enterprise culture is crucial to the social services New Zealand needs.
“I want us to have world class health and education services for all New Zealanders. We need a strong, prospering business sector to achieve it.” He told the institute of Sales and Marketing Executives today.
“Young New Zealanders are heavily supportive of business. Nine out of ten young New Zealanders would like to start a business themselves.
“It’s up to us to harness that enthusiasm and create a culture where enterprise is supported and celebrated,” Jim Anderton said.
