ACT New Zealand Leader Rodney Hide today noted that Maori Party Co-Leader Dr Pita Sharples says his party is for all New Zealanders and "is not separatist or divisive".
"Yeah right!
"ACT stands for colour-blind government where laws and policies are applied irrespective of race.
"The Maori Party, as its name suggests, and its aims and objectives state, stands for two sets of laws and policies: one for Maori and one for everybody else.
"It crystallises what has been happening under successive Labour and National Governments: racial separatism and divisiveness," Mr Hide said.
