Nats add Nuclear cocktail to nasty Manifesto to sell Kiwibank, end 4 Weeks Leave

Progressive leader Jim Anderton says that he is sad, but not surprised, that National is moving to embrace Washington's Nuclear Umbrella.

"National is positioning itself to add a nuclear cocktail to its already nasty Manifesto that includes selling Kiwibank to one of the big foreign banks and taking away the right of New Zealand working families to four weeks annual leave," Jim Anderton said.

"National's latest offerings are as inflammatory as National's desire to abolish the Maori seats and determination to effectively disenfranchise all minority groups by dismantling the MMP proportional representation electoral system," the Progressive leader said.

The National Party today released a report which opens the door to a future National government taking New Zealand back into America's Nuclear Umbrella.

National has in recent months indicated it wants to sell Kiwibank, abolish workers' rights to a minimum of four weeks annual leave, abolish the Maori electorate seats and reverse New Zealanders' 1993 choice of MMP.
