Dunne rebuts ACT lie
United Future leader, Peter Dunne, has categorically denied the assertion in an ACT party publication that he had agreed to join today’s press conference on the Supreme Court Bill held by National, New Zealand First and ACT.
“The facts are that I was approached by National on Friday to join in, but after due consideration, I declined the invitation, while indicating I was prepared to issue a statement of support for the other parties’ intentions,” he said today.
“It is difficult, however, to give meaningful support to a party like ACT, whose leader’s own newsletter stoops to barefaced lying,” said Mr Dunne.
