Peters and the wolf
Instead of attacking new New Zealanders, what about something constructive like four weeks' leave?
NZ First Leader, Winston Peters, is nothing if not consistent, Progressive Party deputy leader, Matt Robson, said today. "Consistent in trying to promote division and intolerance based on misinformation instead of being constructive and giving a cast iron guarantee to support four weeks annual leave for all workers, including those most in need," Matt Robson said.
He has now created a " problem" with children born here to non-residents. No-one else has noticed this. In fact demographers have warned of the low birth rate and the economic burden of a greying population.
But Mr Peters sees only danger and disaster as he has found another angle in which to attack new New Zealanders.
In the meantime, having tried to create a new worry for New Zealand , a new fear and a new division, NZ First does not have to bother about focusing on those key issues which can unite our society and utilize the talents of all such as growing the economy to create full employment, provide first world health and education services and world class working conditions.
"The real
question for NZ First is whether after the next election it
will back the Labour-Progressive coalition which though
regional and economic polices is moving toward full
employment. Or will NZ First repeat its 1996 decision to
campaign for anti-National votes only to jump in with
National and ACT after the election to implement policies
which will hurt the vulnerable," Matt Robson
said.
