Helen Clark doesn't know when to quit
National Party Leader Bill English says it's clear Helen Clark doesn't know when to quit.
"She continuing to act like an international commentator, dabbling in the affairs of other countries and has completely lost sight of New Zealand's national interests," says Mr English.
He's referring to a weekend speech by the Prime Minister where she has taken yet another swipe at US foreign policy.
She told the European Policy Centre in Brussels, ' in a world where might was right, we would stand to be the loser - and so would every other small nation.'
"Helen Clark does not know when to call it a day.
"Her remarks have already opened a gulf between New Zealand and Australia as well as the US," says Mr English.
"The New Zealand business community knows it, as supported by a recent newspaper poll and Australia's Alexander Downer knows it, but Helen Clark still hasn't got the message.
"She has offended too many of our important friends and allies too many times and not even one of her half-baked apologies can repair the damage," Mr English says.
