Blumsky joins board of United Future New Zealand
The former
Mayor of Wellington, Mark Blumsky, has joined the ten-strong
board of the United Future New Zealand party.
Welcoming Mr Blumsky, leader Peter Dunne said "I am delighted with the high calibre of New Zealanders who are joining us as United Future continues to set new goals for bringing sensible, thoughtful policies to the business of Government."
Mr Blumsky said he was attracted to United Future after reading Mr Dunne's book "Home is where my heart is" and realising that he was 'utterly in sync' with the principles and policies outlined there.
"I have known Peter for a long time and have been impressed with the way he has always fought for Wellington; I want to help him in those battles," he said.
Mr Blumsky said he wanted to bring his marketing and branding skills to the board to ensure the United Future family-friendly message was laid clearly in front of the electorate.
