Get Off The Bandwagon
New Zealand First leader Rt Hon Winston Peters has suggested that Maori radicals, now jumping on the De Bres Taleban bandwagon, take a look at themselves in the nearest mirror.
Mr Peters said today that New Zealanders of all races should thank the colonists for ending some of the less desirable Maori customs such as genocide, slavery and cannibalism.
“These people perpetuate a myth that Maori were peace loving angels in a pacific paradise before Europeans arrived,” said Mr Peters.
“The fact is the European colonisation of New Zealand was more benign than just about anywhere else in the world and the radicals and their race relations puppet know this, yet choose to distort history.
Mr Peters said he would ignore any official paper from the Race Relations Commissioner and he suggested that other New Zealanders do the same.
